Fear the mighty forehead!
While in America, two Chinese martial artists miss their flight home to China. One of them becomes a criminal because he has a sexy forehead, while the other, a nice man, becomes a hunted man because his friend killed a cop. The police believe the nice Chinese man killed their friend because they found his passport near the dead cop. Now, the nice friend must stop the evil friend and become friends with a stupid Chinese man who always brings trouble home. He also meets a Chinese hottie.
Dragon Fight has an impressive cast featuring Jet Li, Stephen Chow, Dick Wei, and the hottie Nina Li Chi. I love it when she knows she is so hot and doesn’t care about what is going on around her. She has those sleepy eyes with a sexy “I don’t give a damn” attitude.
As a movie, Dragon Fight isn’t good. The editing is a mess, the script is terrible, and there is so much talent wasted here. Even the fight scenes are disappointing with a lot of quick cuts that ruin the flow of the scenes.
Except for the manly forehead, Dick Wei, the villains in the movie are just irritating and useless. They are like cardboard cutouts.
What’s funny is when Dick Wei starts killing a lot of white guys. It seems like God has a plan, and that is for Dick Wei to erase the whiteness in America. It’s ridiculous but very funny. And you just have to love the manliness of Dick Wei when he rocks around with his sexy forehead!
Stephen Chow plays a loser, and he tries too hard to be funny. That never works, and his arc just shows how poor the script is.
Jet Li doesn’t have any personality. He’s just a nice guy who wants everyone to live in peace and be excellent to each other. So he’s a boring hero who is as interesting as watching paint dry.
Even if you are a fan of Jet Li, this movie is not worth watching. It’s a mess of a movie with a garbage script, disappointing and generic action scenes, and bad storytelling.
