Cinderella is a real ho!
Cinderella’s father has married a new woman, and she has two daughters. But Cinderella’s father dies shortly after getting married, and one of the sisters, who is the ugliest one, wants to become pretty because the prince in the kingdom is going to choose a wife among the prettiest ones. Now we follow her on her journey to become beautiful.
Every normal person in the world knows the story about Cinderella. But in The Ugly Stepsister, we follow Cinderella’s ugly stepsister, who is ugly as hell, but she is willing to undergo surgeries to become beautiful. However, time is short to become the prince’s wife.
The Ugly Stepsister has become a sort of fan favorite, and many people consider it the best horror movie of 2025. In my opinion, that’s wrong because movies like You Bring Her Back and Weapons are much better movies, and if you like The Ugly Stepsister, you should really enjoy Bring Her Back more than The Ugly Stepsister.
My problem with the movie is that I found the pacing to be too slow. I liked the atmosphere and the rude, selfish characters. The score is really great, and the acting is also good. But at the same time, I expected more gore and craziness, but there’s not much of that except toward the end of the movie, and it’s pretty tame if you ask me, considering this is a body horror movie. I never felt disgusted. The only thing I felt disgusted by was that the ugly stepsister had some big, ugly feet and hairy legs and arms. She could have at least shaved.
Even though the body horror scenes disappointed me, I liked the last five minutes when the ugly stepsister is trying to get down the stairs to the first floor, but that is difficult for her because of her legs. That scene was the movie’s big highlight for me because of what happens to her rolling down the stairs. That was such a funny scene.
Another highlight of the movie is that Cinderella is cheap when she wants to have some fun with the stable boy. You see some things here that you don’t expect, which is great in my eyes. We need more of that! Cinderella is so cheap in this movie, which is also funny. She’s hot, though—but man, I’ll never get that vision out of my mind after seeing her waiting for the stable boy to get some. Oh, Cinderella, you dirty woman!
If you’re tired of Cinderella and her story, you should watch The Ugly Stepsister. But I felt this movie was way overhyped because there aren’t as many body horror scenes as I expected. Its main focus is on the ugly stepsister—her rise to fame and her downfall when everything goes wrong for her. She deserves it, though, since she’s ugly both inside and out, driven by jealousy and a cheap mother who’s willing to do anything for easy money because she has no shame.
