Rewatch: Juvenile Crime (1997) – English Review

A girl is kidnapped and held captive for 40 days. After 40 days, she dies.

This was the second movie the Japanese made about the Junko Furuta case. The first movie was Concrete-Encased High School Murder Case (1995). Then came this one, Juvenile Crime (1997). The third and last one was Concrete (2004).

Juvenile Crime is directed by Katsuya Matsumura. He’s an immature director who almost has no talent. The only movies that are worth watching are the first two All Night Long movies he directed. Well, he directed all the movies in this series, and the rest of them are trash movies. He tries to be a sort of shock director, but the man must be missing a lot of brain cells. He should be expelled from Japan and Mother Earth. Send the idiot into space! Do the same with the people who took part in this production!

So what’s wrong with this turd of a movie? Well, it isn’t a movie! It’s an exploitative movie that has 80% sex scenes, if not more. It’s a movie that tries to lure in the audience by using the name Junko Furuta. This is an adult movie from hell! Think about her parents! What’s wrong with these people, especially the lousy and honorless director?

It takes around 30 minutes before Junko Furuta shows up on her bicycle, and then it’s time for long, and I mean, long, sex scenes. And when I say this is an adult movie, I mean it. Just look at the camera angles when they are having fun. The actors also look way too old to play teenagers. I got a feeling the director found them under a bridge where he also lives. Just look at this guy! He will do anything for a dollar!

This is a movie you should pretend doesn’t exist. It isn’t interested in telling a mature story. It’s not interested in focusing on Junko Furuta and what happened to her. The movie is just interested in showing sex scenes, and the actress who’s playing Junko Furuta seems like she’s enjoying it! I’m pretty sure that she must have starred in some adult movies.

The same goes for the first woman the gang is having fun with. She smiles and laughs! And she is not supposed to do that! Her boyfriend must be terrible in bed when you look at her face during this act. If they were married, I have a feeling they divorced after this incident. It must have been so embarrassing for the not-so-manly husband or boyfriend. Can someone please make a movie about this couple and what happened after this incident? Pretty please! I am certain it will be a much better movie than this piece of garbage!

The so-called torture scenes are terrible! Again, it seems like the actress who plays Junko Furuta is smiling and laughing when they burn her hair with a lighter! The director spits on a dead and innocent girl! What’s wrong with him?

Never watch this movie! Do you hear me? Never watch it!
